I am a joint-degree graduate student in history and educational policy studies and am currently pursuing my master’s degree. My research examines the history of public schooling in the United States, with a focus on the intersection of race, education, and memory. In particular, I am interested in personal and collective memories of school desegregation in Boston and the enduring social, political, and educational implications of the public’s historical consciousness of busing for school desegregation in that city. I have a BA, with honors, in history from the University of Alberta.
