Eleni Schirmer researches labor movements, social movements and the political economy of education. Her dissertation research on long history of social justice teachers’ unionism in Milwaukee has been has been supported by the Zeidler Labor History award, the Labor Research Action Network, United Association of Labor Educators, the Albert Shanker Education Research fellowship and the Morgridge fellowship among others. Her writing has appeared in the Boston Review, Dissent, Jacobin and espnW. Eleni is always looking for new running routes.
