Emily Anaya is a PhD student in the Department of Educational Policy Studies concentrating in Social Sciences and Education. Her research interests include: the ways in which Latinx students build community in predominantly white institutions, Latinx student persistence and resilience in higher education, and how first-generation college students of color navigate higher education. Prior to arriving at UW-Madison, Emily obtained her B.A. in Sociology from Beloit College.
