Regina Fuller

Regina Fuller is a doctoral candidate in Educational Policy Studies with a concentration in comparative international education and global studies. Her dissertation research examines how policymakers, nongovernmental organizations, development organizations, and communities resisted and reshaped sexuality education policy in Ghana. She finds that debates around the introduction of a new sexuality and gender curriculum brings to the fore larger concerns about normative sexuality, culture, and religion. Her research draws on critical development studies, anthropology and African feminism. Throughout her time at UW–Madison, Regina has consulted on education and health projects with the World Bank, Save the Children, UNFPA, and Population Reference Bureau. Ms. Fuller is a recipient of the Ford Foundation Pre-Docotoral fellowship, the Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Research Scholars (HPRS) fellowship, Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Brazil, and a Rotary Ambassador Scholarship to Ghana.
