Amanda Venske
Position title: Education Studies
Address:
Amanda Venske was an undergraduate student in Education Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. One of her favorite EPS courses was the community-based learning course Issues in Urban Education with Dr. Linn Posey-Maddox. As part of the course, Amanda volunteered in the early childhood classrooms at a local community center. This work helped spark an interest in early childhood education, which she uses at Madison Education Partnership (MEP), a research-practice partnership housed within the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER). As the lead transcriber, she supports MEP’s qualitative work, particularly within its projects on early childhood education. Amanda further pursues an interest in early childhood by teaching early childhood music and movement classes. During her time at UW–Madison, she also took active leadership roles within the Wisconsin Union, particularly within the Wisconsin Union Directorate as the director of the Performing Arts Committee and as the Concert Series coordinator for Wisconsin Union Theater. After graduation she will be pursuing an MSE in School Business Management at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
